1) Doesn't startup on pressing power button.2) Phone doesn't start in recovery mode.3) Phone doesn't enter fastboot mode ( power + volume down).4) No notification led showing battery charging status.5) Flashed a ROM meant for some other phone by mistake.
PROCEDURE OF RECOVERY
1. Download the MI Flash tool click here
2. Download the fastboot ROM Of the country of your choice.
From this thread click here3. Unzip the ROM and place in a directory such that the absolute address of the folder location does not have any spaces and is as short as possible.
4.4. Install the Mi Flash application and run it as admin.
5. Open device manager on windows 7. Start ---> Control Panel --->Hardware and Sound --> Device manager ( under Devices and Printers)
6. Open the port dropdown from device list and select the Qualcomm hs-usb diagonastic COM port
7. Now right click the Qualcomm hs-usb diagnostic and select update driver software. And complete the update.
8. Now restart your windows and be sure to press F8 during boot and select disable driver signature ( see attached image BootOptions )
9. Now connect the usb cable to your phone and then to your computer.
10. Open MiFlash and press refresh and see if it show the device on its list
11. Now press browse and select the folder where the ROM was extracted to
12. You can also select the advance option and select each file separately. (its optional)
click on the ‘Browse’ button again and Advance and Choose the “Fastboot script” from the extracted ROM folder.
*Choose the script carefully as per your need:-
1.flash_all.bat:
clears all the data of the built-in storage, clear all user data, please be careful!
2.flash_all_except_storage.bat:
will erase all user data does not clear the built-in storage data.
3.flash_all_except_data_storage.bat:
does not clear the built-in storage data does not clear user data
* If you are still confused which one to choose , I would suggest no 2.
13. Now press the magic button --> FLASH on the MiFlash interface .
14. Your phone may not start sometimes , in this case try charging the phone.
